Charted Accountant – Job Description

• Manages all accounting processes for a real estate division, handling the full spectrum of financial and cost accounting roles eg. AR, AP, GL, forecasting, budgeting etc.
• Ensures entity level legal and tax compliance with corporate / tax laws, rules, RERA laws/procedures, including VAT legislation/practice/procedures and monthly/annual filings
• Coordinates with RERA auditors for ensuring timely delivery of RERA audits/reports
• Tracks payment defaulters and reports for further action in compliance with the sale-purchase agreement or according to RERA Guidelines
• Ensures scrutiny on contractors bills and timely payment to all suppliers and supplier accounts reconciliation

Charted Accountant – Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or any relevant courses; CPA/CIMA/CA/ACMA certifications is an advantage
• Minimum 12 years of total work experience in Managerial / Chief Accountant role in real estate, facility management real estate or property developer companies
• Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work in a team
• The ability to negotiate
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
