Job Title – Clinical Fellow – Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Jobs in Qatar
Responsibilities:
- Provides compassionate patients’ care to the highest standards under the appropriate level of supervision while fulfilling the training and educational requirements of the CAP fellowship program.
- Learns the appropriate indications and possible complications of testing modalities, pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions including the risks and benefits and probable outcomes of treatment and non-treatment options for children and adolescents with mental health needs.
- Complies with all the curricular requirements of the fellowship training program including the on-call duty hours.
- Actively participates in the patient management prior to, during and following any patient encounter or procedure.
- Participates and evaluate/manage patients in outpatient, emergency department, consultation liaison and inpatient setting.
- Presents clinical case conferences, journal clubs, grand-rounds and attends departmental and non-departmental conferences as recommended by the program director.
- Reviews and be prepared to discuss relevant literature references.
- Participates in the supervision, teaching and assessment of the medical students, interns and residents rotating in that specialty.
- Engages in meaningful research activities and support the research agenda of the clinical division/department. Utilize quality improvement measures to improve patient outcome.
- Adheres to Sidra’s standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies.
Educational requirements:
- MB ChB, MBBS, MD (bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery)
- Board certification in a general specialty or equivalent
Experience requirements:
- 48 months of residency training in general psychiatry
Mandatory requirements (Attach with the application)
- Three letters of recommendations from residency training including one from program director
- Personal statement describing reason for interest in child and adolescent psychiatry and Sidra.
