Responsibilities:

  • Child protection:
  • Supervise and work on developing the operations of the child protection system in cooperation with the strategic partners in the Emirate of Dubai, raise perceptions of the development processes, including treatment of points of overlap and duplication in the field of child protection, and follow up on their implementation.
  • Supervising the accuracy of databases in the field of child protection in the integrated case management system for monitoring and follow-up of cases, in order to ensure the protection of children registered with the authority.
  • Work on developing future scenarios and scenarios for specialized operations in the field of child protection and foreseeing the future to ensure prevention and early detection of cases of abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and submit them to the Director of the Department for review and necessary action with the various authorities.
  • Develop child protection programmes, systems, and mechanisms by following up on cases on the integrated case management system and following up with the department staff to ensure their implementation by following up on reports on cases received by the department.
  • Continuous work on developing systems for reporting cases of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of children by holding periodic meetings with customer service centers and call centers, reviewing child abuse assessment forms, and following up on the application of updated systems in the Authority.
  • Ensuring the quality and efficiency of the services provided to rehabilitate children subjected to abuse or neglect, through the development of standards for rehabilitation and social services provided to children, whether from the Community Development Authority staff, or partners (the

  • Submitting an annual analytical study on the types of abuse and its relationship to several variables (age, gender, place of residence, education, nationality, … etc.) with the aim of developing plans that contribute to awareness and reducing abuse through the department’s programs, and cooperation with partners.
  • Adopting treatment intervention plans for the incoming cases and following up on their application in accordance with the approved procedures.
  • Providing direct support to the child protection specialist on duty in very serious cases, facilitates the task and contributes to providing support to children.
  • Juvenile delinquents and prone to delinquency:
  • General supervision of the category of juvenile delinquents and those at risk of delinquency, and follow-up with social workers by following up rehabilitation programs for delinquents, meeting evaluation criteria, and following up intervention plans for juveniles at risk of delinquency.
  • Developing frameworks for developing programs and plans to reduce child delinquency (juvenile delinquents) to ensure the provision of integrated care for them and ensure a reduction in the rate of recidivism, in line with the strategic indicator of the Government of Dubai, and supervising its implementation.
  • Submitting an annual analytical study on juvenile crimes and their relationship to several variables (age, gender, place of residence, education, nationality, … etc.) with the aim of developing plans that contribute to reducing juvenile delinquency based on the data available through cases, through department programs, and cooperation with partners.
  • Reviewing and approving the intervention plans developed by the juvenile specialist, and amending them if necessary in cases of recidivism, ensuring that the programs cover the elements and causes of delinquency, and then supervising their implementation.
  • Reviewing and approving periodic reports submitted to partners (Dubai Courts, Public Prosecution, Ministry of Education, Knowledge Authority) by a juvenile specialist.
  • Follow up the cases of juvenile delinquents in the punitive institutions of the Dubai Police and the extent of the development of the case with the juvenile specialist by following up the reports issued by the integrated case management system and holding periodic meetings.
  • Seeing the fostered:
  • Urging the work team to strive to develop and improve the relationship between the vision student and the foster children through activities and social interviews.
  • Launching initiatives by developing the network of partners in the field of seeing the fostered child to contribute to providing the vision service, whether by providing a place (example: Child City) or by providing activities during vision days (example: Al-Saruq Museum).
  • Seek to obtain alternative entities that provide the service in support of the Community Development Authority, and train them on the service.
  • Common tasks:
  • Working on activating partnerships with various entities in the emirate and holding meetings with partners (the Public Prosecution, Dubai Police, Dubai Foundation for Women and Children,
  • Knowledge, Authority, Ministry of Education, Health Authority, shopping centers, Dubai Municipality) in order to develop integrated policies for the protection of children and juveniles And those exposed to delinquency and the development of services and follow-up cases of child protection and cases of juvenile delinquents and vulnerable to delinquency in the Emirate of Dubai, in a way that serves the best interest of these groups.
  • Raise a vision of the awareness and training programs of the authorities concerned with the authority in the field of child and juvenile protection, based on the annual statistical analysis of cases, to increase awareness of the needs and requirements of these groups and ensure their protection.
  • Review and certify the reports issued by the department related to cases of abuse and exploitation of delinquent children and juveniles at risk of delinquency, and see the fostered persons to the judicial authorities or concerned partners.
  • Follow up on customer complaints received from inside and outside the Authority, transfer them to the relevant employee in the department, and follow up on their closure in accordance with the approved procedures.
  • Participate in national committees related to the protection of children and juveniles.
  • Adhere to the information security policies and procedures approved by the Authority and work to comply with the controls to ensure the confidentiality of information.

Educational requirements:
