Job – Commercial Director – Beauty Brand

Job Responsibilities:

STRATEGIC

  • Define the yearly strategic plan for the networks
  • Define the Distribution and Retail roadmap for the next 3 years
  • Prepare, with Commercial Team, the yearly budget
  • Monitor the yearly budget and control expenditure to ensure optimal use, including insuring a healthy stock action plan
  • Formulate and communicate the performance objectives and continuously monitor progress, and propose corrective actions accordingly
  • Develop strong and durable relationship with all retail partners, distributors and external stakeholders
  • Participate in Commercial negotiations i.e. cost share, location and new door opening with the General Manager
  • Build a clientele-ing and direct to retail strategy in key doors
  • Monitor & report on market trends, competitors in the country and propose/initiate/take actions

OPERATIONAL

  • Overlook, with concerned parties, stock level and implement actions accordingly
  • Manage Team allocation per door to constantly improve door productivity
  • Set, with concerned parties, the purchasing plan for his / her respective market
  • Coordinate with the regional marketing department on yearly calendar / plan suitable for market as per brand guidelines
  • Provide input to the marketing team on the marketing mix and new POS openings, ensuring smooth implementation
  • Record, monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities and suggest action plans
  • Coordinate with respective departments for all new openings, renovations and POS closing
  • Manage with team all new project openings & renovations
  • Work with commercial team alongside the training team in managing team allocation per door to constantly improve door productivity, and identifying and implementing coaching and development opportunities
  • Supervise and approve teams’ Incentive Schemes Structure to be in line with global retail ambitions and local structures

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Recruit, lead, inspire and develop team
  • Assign individual objectives for employee performance management purposes, manage performance, empower teams and provide feedback
  • Ensure identification and proper development and recognition of talent within team

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12 years’ Commercial and Retail Middle East experience, of which 6 in a managerial role
  • In-depth market knowledge (distribution, retail, customers, competition, etc.…)
  • BA Degree or equivalent
  • Fluent in English; Arabic a plus
  • Strategic with excellent commercial acumen
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit, positive and fighter attitude
  • Strong leadership, team coaching and management skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation skills and presentation skills
  • Dynamic, ambitious, Results-oriented (top and bottom lines)
