Role Purpose:
- The Procurement and Contracts Specialist will work with key stakeholders in order to understand their requirements, compile specifications, issue Bids, facilitate vendor selection and negotiate agreements .
Roles and Responsibilities
- The position will be expected to collaborate and share information within, and across, departments and agencies and support various specification working groups.
- The role will also be responsible for initially building mutually beneficial relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure ongoing value is delivered through these contractual relationships.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contractual agreements, including but not limited to, non-disclosure agreements, service agreements, purchase agreements, and licensing agreements.
- Develops, implements and manages contracts and service level agreements for the procurement of goods, services and leases.
- Ensure contract compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Review vendor and subcontractor contracts and provide recommendations to project managers.
- Manage contract change requests, amendments, and extensions.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for continuous improvement of the contracting process.
- Review cost proposal and pricing information.
- Prepare and administer contracts and purchase orders with specific vendors.
- Compare bids from vendors and determine or assist with determination to whom contracts to be awarded.
- Evaluate vendor proposals to ensure that all the requirements are met.
- Evaluate competence of vendors and reviews their invoices for accuracy.

- In-depth knowledge of contract laws and regulations/ contract principles and procedures.
