Contracts Manager – Job Description
- Manage the development of project proposals, review terms and conditions during the bidding stage.
- Negotiate and conclude Contract agreements, subcontract agreements, supply agreements etc. with clients and supply chain management.
- Monitor the project progress during execution.
- Attend meetings and correspond on contractual/technical issues.
- Change order and claim management including raising variations and claims & obtaining approvals on variations & claims from clients.
- Attend post-contract meetings with the Consultants/Clients to conclude project activities such as commercial issues, invoicing/payment terms, cash flow schedules etc.
- Pursue with the client on payment matters.
- Liaise on regular basis with Design, Engineering, Planning, Workshop and Project Department on project matters during execution.
- Maintain contact with the consultants and clients to ensure that work execution and progress are up to their satisfaction.
- Liaise with the clients along with the Project dept./Finance dept. for obtaining payment, securing advance guarantees, performance bonds, insurance certificates etc.
- Monitor project financial performances including budgets, cash flow forecasts, estimates to complete, estimate at completion, cost and revenue.
- Allocate cost provision for each activity of the project.
- Support procurement function on the commercial bid evaluations, finalization, agreements etc. wherever necessary.
- Manage all contractual and commercial aspects of Project Close-out.
- Provide functional leadership to quantity surveyors
- Prepare EOT and Prolongation cost claims.
- Ensure profitability of the projects by efficient management of cost control activities, client claims, subcontractor claims and final accounts.
- Perform any other work assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Contracts Manager – Job Requirement
- Qualification: Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering/Masters of Technology) – Commercial Management/ Quantity Surveying/ Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 8-12 years of experience out of which 6 + years should be in relevant field Thorough knowledge of FIDIC forms.
- Skills: Good knowledge of raising and settling claims and variations.
- Skills in negotiating, writing and interpreting contractual agreements.
