Job Title – Engineer II , Electrical And Instrumentation Jobs in Khobar , Saudi Arabia

Responsibilities:

Perform electrical and instrumentation engineering design and analysis with adequate and appropriate documentation.
Supervise/coordinate basic and detailed engineering to fulfill the project in accordance with the design criteria (as defined for the project, Company procedures and standards).

Attend rig surveys & vendor facilities to define design requirements and develop the scope of work required for equipment additions, modifications, repairs and conversions with sound, best practiced engineering that meets regulatory standards and contract specifications.
Generates drawings and sketches as necessary to support any design calculation and documentation.
Interface and collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and relevant ARO interdepartmental for required assistance.

Ensure review/comment and approves appropriately of third party developed engineering documentation including drawings and calculations.
Assist with RFQ development to vendors to procure design required materials & equipment, and recertification in accordance with Company standards.
Applies assigned contractual, regulatory and ARO standards to the prosecution of the work.

Ensure assigned engineering works are in accordance with applicable international and reliable standards and codes.
Liaise and obtain class and regulatory approvals.
Ensure accurate tracking and calculation is maintained for weight control/incline activities.

Provides supervision and guidance to all assigned staff and vendors.
Provides highly skilled technical and management advice and assistance to stakeholders.
Responsible for ensuring company standards, policies and procedures are fully adhered to all design and engineering tasks.

Conducts periodic review of the rig specific technical specification and provides feedback for the updates.
Participates in the investigation of incidents and corrective actions for non-conformances that require engineering solutions.
Generates engineering solutions and proposed enhancements to rig installations in response to audits, safety and environmental cases or company identified improvements.

Provide and assist with technical support for rig specific safety cases.
Be knowledgeable of social, cultural, and environmental implications of engineering practices and activities.

Educational requirements:

Bachelor Degree

Experience requirements:

4-6 years of relevant working experience in offshore Electrical & Instrumentation design and engineering with drilling contractor, shipyard and or O&G EPC firms.

Desired Skills:

Teamwork/collaborations Skills
Sound knowledge of Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering fundamentals.
Ability to gather, analyze and synthesize data.

Excellent communication (both oral & written) in English.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Demonstrated effective leadership and influencing skills and practices.

Effective risk management, decision making and problem solving.
Knowledge of financial accounting, purchasing and management systems.
Physically capable of being transported to an offshore rig by boat or helicopter.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, design analysis and electrical calculations.
Capability to run hand calculations based on IEEE, IEC, NEC, ABS & DNV

Qualifications:

Ability to work in a team environment with members of varying skill levels.
Highly motivated.
