Job Title – IT Infrastructure Administrator Jobs in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operations of all IT infrastructure, including storage, applications, databases, email services, systems management, network resources, backup, network & firewall resources and server/virtual infrastructure. This includes scheduling upgrades and maintenance that minimally impact core business and instructional functions. Performs off-hour upgrades, installing patches, service packs, maintenance releases, troubleshooting, etc.
Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots all network resources, including servers, network infrastructure, virtual infrastructure, storage, applications, and sub-systems.

Performs routine system audits and vulnerability assessments and verifies IS security compliance.
Performs multi-tiered incident, change management, problem resolution, and end-user support.
Monitors faults, performance, and capacity issues; prepares remediation reports and documentation.

Continuously identifies process and quality improvement opportunities and implements applicable technologies and/or process changes.
Implement and configure highly available infrastructure, including design and test of fail-over services, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, load balancing, etc.
Implement and configure systems management and proactive monitoring tools; troubleshoots and resolve identified telecommunication and network issues.

Implement and oversee backup systems. Protect all systems and end-user data: schedule and maintain onsite and offsite backups, review backup logs, develop and maintain backup procedures, restore data and configurations, document recovery plans, and implement new backup technologies.
Document all systems administration processes and installation procedures.

Educational requirements:

Applicant must be UAE resident.
A bachelor’s degree in computer or information science.
Certificates like MCSE, CCNA, VCP, and ITIL is preferred.

Experience requirements:

5+ years of experience in a similar position.
Must have excellent experience with Vmware, Commvault, Azure, O365, SCCM, Intune & Cisco.

Must have excellent experience with routing and switching, Next-Gen Firewall, WAF, Wi-Fi 6 & SDWAN.

Desired Skills:

Ability to multi-task.

Bilingual preferred.
Good Communication & Reporting Skills.
Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.

Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as required, should be available 24/7 on call in case of major services outage

Qualifications:

Ability to work in a team environment with members of varying skill levels.

Highly motivated.
Learns quickly.
