Job Title – Performance Psychologist Jobs in Doha, Qatar

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement principles of Performance Psychology to improve and enhance human performance within QR group in line with occupational requirements.
  • Conduct individual psychological needs assessments and contribute to a multidisciplinary individual action plan.
  • Deliver one-to-one psychological performance coaching and consultancy to enhance the mental health and performance of QR Group staff.
  • Utilise information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources to conduct psychological assessments.
  • Deliver cutting-edge mental health, occupational & performance psychology related training through workshops.
  • Develop, plan and initiate resilience programs to support all aspects of individual readiness and resiliency.
  • Assist in return to work initiatives for employees returning from long-term medical related leave through employee assistance programs (EAP)
  • Provide support to business psychologists where needed with suitability assessments in response to management referrals.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to enhance both individual and group performance
  • Provide support to Clinical Psychology & Primary Care services.
  • Provide one-to-one lifestyle support to maximise mental and physical health in liaison with existing clinical psychology and primary care physicians Where required.
  • Establish, review and update policies, procedures and SOP’s relevant to daily practice.
  • Generate, monitor and respond to performance psychology related data and information.
  • Participate in applied research in the field of performance enhancement, occupational psychology and human factors in the aviation sector.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

 

Educational requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree equivalent
  • Track record of analyzing the psychological needs of a system / organization / team and effectively implementing psychological interventions that have a demonstrable impact on performance levels and positive mental health.
  • A verifiable record of working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Practical knowledge of Gulf culture or prior experience within the region.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to prepare and manage reports & create high quality documents.
  • Ability to work under pressure as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Capable of unsupervised working
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakholders.
  • Managerial skills – Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.

 

Experience requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of job-related experience
  • Experience providing 1:1 coaching and mental skills training
  • Experience working in an occupational, corporate, aviation or military setting.
  • Experience with delivering human factors initiatives
  • Experience in clinical psychology
