Job Title – Principal Hydrocarbon Accounting & reconciliation Petrochemicals & Polymers Reconciliation Jobs in Oman

Responsibilities:

Scope

  • HCA Petrochemicals & Polymers Reconciliation
  • Reconciliation of Gas conversion.
  • Monomer yield accounting
  • Warehouse Inventory management, (Physical Vs Book Inventory).
  • Develop strategy for Fuel & loss accounting as per HPM standard & plan for the control /reduction.
  • Accounting of Intra-plant & Intercompany streams within Group companies.
  • Track the production reporting with third party operating agencies.

General

  • Through active participation, recommend actions and manage Mass balance data to ensure the optimum use of resources.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework

Data collection & Master Data Validation

  • Ensure high quality data is entered into reconciliation tools & accurate mass balance information in ERP. Manage the database and produce monthly reports of each production facilities.
  • Collecting data on the production and sales of hydrocarbons from various sources, such as production platforms, pipelines, storage tanks, and sales contracts.
  • Maintains database and prepares report for deferment analysis, plant production opportunity losses and related statistics
  • Enabling the accurate Master data management for ERP & Reconciliation application.
  • Manage and maintain the company’s records of well diagrams with the Production department, and ensure updated changes are captured in a timely manner
  • Validating the accuracy of the data collected by comparing it to other sources of data and industry standards.

Reconciliation

  • Ensure that timely reconciliation takes place. This requires close cooperation with SPDC and DPR.
  • Set up and maintain the Short-Term Production forecast for the company.
  • Execute hydrocarbon & polymer accounting activities and reporting system.
  • Ensure the accurate reconciliation procedure to be implement for the Silo & warehouse inventory management.
  • Ensures that product yields and quantities are monitored with performance deviations analyzed accordingly. Initiates investigation for deviation and determines corrective courses of actions.
  • Reconcile accounts and prepare various reports related to refined product exports.
  • Prepare necessary month and year-end closing activities.
  • Follow up the accounting Auditing & provide all required input as requested.
  • Ensure the correct procedure implementation for inventory write-off.
  • Ensure the Multi step reconciliation for NGLE, SCU & Polymer including,

Investigation

  • Undertakes daily analysis of production, highlighting production loss and identifying production optimization opportunities
  • Investigating any discrepancies or differences to identify the root cause and determine the appropriate corrective action.

Reporting

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of all management and government reports issued by the department.
  • Execute hydrocarbon & polymer reporting system
  • Prepares internal and external daily and monthly management production reports ensuring required report quality is achieved and report is issued in an effective and timely manner.
  • Prepare various ad hoc reports related to hydrocarbon & Polymer deliveries and inventory.
  • Provide input for monthly performance monitoring reviews (PMR), follow up the observation & close out the Gaps
  • Participate in and support the planning, reporting, and forecasting activities and initiatives in coordination with the business representatives and the commercial analysts
  • Preparing reports that summarize the results of the reconciliation process and any corrective actions taken including:
    • Gas Extraction yield performance at NGLE,
    • Monomer Yield Accounting at SCU.
    • Monomer to Polymer conversion, Semi finished to Finished grade accounting (Bagging Operation)
    • Warehouse management for Polymer inventories,
    • Inbound – Outbound reconciliation. Sales / STO reconciliation with inbound to outbound process.
    • Wastage, Scrape, Damaged, recycling reporting.
    • Process Review of Measurement Calibration, weigh scale validation, Silo inventory measurement

Supervision

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

  • Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures to support execution of the Section’s / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
  • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with international standards to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
  • Review of system Validation, Process control & brining more Automation, Dashboard reporting.

 

Educational requirements:

  • Minimum Qualifications for this position are bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or similar

 

Experience requirements:

  • 12+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the Oil & Energy sector, with emphasis in Downstream (Petrochemical & Polymer Unit Operations & Processes)                                           
  • Experience in reading and analyse benchmarking activities           
  • Warehouse management for Polymer Storage & Bagging operation Master structures relevant tools (Visio, etc.)
  • Process Reconciliation Tools. (Preferably Sigmafine)
  • Process Historian, IT interfaces    
  • Hydrocarbon Contract management,
  • API / ASTM Standards
  • Performance analysis, assessment, and reporting
  • Analytical & Reporting tools (SAP – BW/BI, Power BI)
  • Project management                                                  
  • financial advice and support to business projects     
  • Have a sound knowledge of API / ASTM standard for the quantity conversion.
  • Have a sound knowledge of SAP transactions, Product pricing, Production cost accounting & gross margin analysis.
