Qatar Petroleum (QP) is a state-owned public corporation established byEmiri Decree No. 10 in 1974. It is responsible for all phases of the oiland gas industry in the State of Qatar.The principal activities of QP, its subsidiaries and joint ventures are the exploration, production, local and international sale of crude oil,natural gas and gas liquids, refined products, synthetic fuels,petrochemicals, fuel additives, fertilizers, liquefied natural gas(LNG), steel and aluminium.QP’s strategy of conducting hydrocarbon exploration and development isthrough Exploration and Production Sharing Agreements (EPSA) and Development and Production Sharing Agreements (DPSA) concluded withmajor international oil and gas companies.

Primary purpose of job

  • Establish, maintain and communicate the corporate Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) requirements for QP projects and operations.
  • Ensure compliance of the corporate-wide projects and operations to the applicable corporate QA/QC requirements through monitoring and during collaboration with all departments.

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant QA/QC experience in major Oil & Gas Industries covering the projects different stages, with
    a minimum of 8 years in similar position is preferable.
  • IRCA or equivalent qualified HSEQ management system lead auditor.
  • Professional qualifications in quality and inspection by ISO/ASME/API/ NACE/ ASNT, is preferable.
  • Proven experiences in developing and updating projects quality requirements, technical specifications and procedures
    relevant to O&G projects.
  • Familiar with relevant International codes, engineering specification of other O&G majors in Oil & Gas industry, in
    particular, with Shell DEPs is an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge in failure investigation and ECA.
  • Highly computer literate.


  • B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and/or higher engineering degree is preferable.
