Quantity Surveyor (B.O.Q & Specification Writer) – Job Description

• Responsible for preparing B.O.Q and developing detailed project specifications as well as working with engineers, suppliers, operations personnel, manuals, and other materials to develop both BOQ & specifications.
• Study tender documents including drawings, project specification, BOQ, the scope of work, contact details and conditions
• Preparing tender study report by analyzing the scope of work
• Liaise with the Operations team to establish execution/method statements and reflect the same in estimation.
• Establish direct cost resources required to execute various activities
• Preparing technical clarifications to clients for discrepancies in tender documents after reviewing. Incorporating the changes after response.
• Participate in site visits and prepare site visit report to analyze the project scope of work.
• Analyze vendor technical offers and commercials as well in view of project specifications and standards.
• Prepare vendors to cost comparative study report to get a financial selection of vendors/ subcontractor & price.
• Preparing required bid documents include commercial and technical submittals.
• Collect all vendors technical datasheets, vendors’ specifications, drawings and compile them in line with tender documents to prepare technical bid submission.
• Preparing coordinating post-tender technical clarifications and commercials as well.
• Coordinating with vendor post tender clarification to technical qualification.
• Assist the management for post-tender commercial negotiations with vendors as well to reach competitive pricing.

Quantity Surveyor (B.O.Q & Specification Writer) – Job Requirement

• A bachelor’s degree in QS / Civil Engineering.
• High Proficiency in English
• Previous working in a similar position for 5 years
• Hands-on experience with complex data research activities
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Critical-thinker and problem-solver
