Qatar Petroleum (QP) is a state-owned public corporation established byEmiri Decree No. 10 in 1974. Department

Primary purpose of job

  • To lead the process of review, analysis, and maintenance of the Financial Controls function across QP Marketing & Trading activities comprising of development and enhancement of Financial Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines, participate in governance and business process initiatives at corporate and departmental level. Maintain an effective framework for development and maintenance of Manual of Authority (MOA), Chart of Accounts (COA), Financial Systems Improvement and Implementation, Business Process Improvement and Automation, Managing Master Data for Counterparties (Banks/ Vendors/ Customers) etc. across QP Marketing & Trading activities and advise on the adequacy of financial control environment within QP Marketing & Trading activities.

Experience & Skills

  • Skills:
    – Have a very good report writing skills.
    – Possess strong analytical skills.
    – Good command over MS Office Suites: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    – Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience:
    – At least 12 years work experience in the relevant field.

Education

  • Graduate in Accounting & Finance with post-graduation is preferred.
  • A recognized professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA or CFA, etc.).
