2. A citizen is temporarily exempt from military service in the following cases:-

• A son who supports his mother, father, or both
• And the only son who supports his father who is unable to work.
• The only son who supports his brother or brothers who are unable to work. Or who supports his brothers, unmarried or unemployed daughters.
• A son who supports his brother or brothers who are unable to work. Or who supports his brothers, unmarried or unemployed daughters.
• A son who supports one of his relatives who suffer from various disabilities or chronic diseases that make them unable to work.
• The dependant son of a martyr’s pensioner or under his rule.
• A person who is a child of a missing person in police, military, or security operations has the right to be exempt from conscription.
• Any citizen who is sentenced to a penalty that restricts his freedom or is in preventive detention throughout the period of the punishment.
• Obtaining proof of lack of fitness and a decision by the medical committee to that.
• An exemption shall be made for all those who do not meet the admission requirements for foreigners Joining the UAE army.
