Job – Command Center Manager

Job Description:

Command Center is a 24/7 function responsible for proactively monitoring and providing first level support for business applications/services to ensure smooth operation of Emirates NBD Group Tier1/2/3/4 application (including international locations).
As a Command Center Manager, candidate is responsible for overseeing the operations of Command Center including Infrastructure, Network, Applications etc. He will ensure all systems are functioning properly and respond to any issues/ deviations or problems that arise. Command Center is a critical function for the Group and Command Center manager play an important role in ensuring the services are available thereby helping teams to operate effectively.
Candidate should have strong technical knowledge include but not limited to IT Infrastructure, Virtualization, Networks, Windows and Unix/Linus OS, Storage devices, Ansible, Git-Hub, OpenShift, Kubernetes etc. A strong hold on scripting is must as this role also includes automation. Hands-on experience on Observability tools (AppDynamics, ELK, ICINGA, ELK etc.) is a must.
Candidate also need to have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. He also needs to participate in coordinating with third party/vendors/OEMs to close the issues/tickets dependent on them. This role is critical in driving customer experience across ENBD Group and ensuring we become a trusted partner of the business.

Experience required:

• Experience within complex environments defined by high availability, high transaction rate and geographical complexity
• 12+ years in IT Operations within an organization of more than 20,000 users with at least 7 years of experience in banking

Technical/Functional:
• Sound Knowledge in System Administration, Networks, Virtualization, Linux, Storage etc.
• Prior Experience in leading the Command Center for a Financial Institution.
• ITIL knowledge
• Cloud knowledge is a must considering we have the Microservices based architecture.
• Ability to analyze and accordingly be able to act on alerts generated from monitoring systems.
• Ability to influence, coach/mentor and listen to team members and peers if Applicable
• Experience in coordinating, facilitating and influencing management
• Experience in contributing to and executing ITIL maturity uplift plans or roadmaps
