Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

Knowledge & Experience: –

Degree Holder or similar discipline
Minimum of 10 years managerial experience and/or technical experience
Experience in relevant industry Responsible for the execution of all operations activities required to provide the most efficient and on-time delivery of the projects.
Pro-actively delivering and wherever possible exceeding the agreed objectives of both client and the client by leading a project team in the planning, development, monitoring, and delivery of an integrated design, procurement and construction programs of works

Leadership

Manage the effective achievement of operations departmental objectives through the leadership of the operations department- setting an individual objective, recruiting qualified staff, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal- in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance.

Budget and Plans

Oversee the consolidation and recommend operations department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.

Operations (External)

Ensure that the project is delivered as agreed with the client by effectively and appropriately overseeing all issues surrounding risks, contracts and communications In line with both values and sustainability agenda to determine and deliver the appropriate quality and style for the project(s) and thus ensure that the reputation of client is enhanced with the local community, delivery partners and most of all client (Internal)
To have overall responsibility to ensure that everyone on-site, including his/her, are working in accord with client Target Zero Health &Safety Strategy

To ensure that all procurement items are identified ad adequately placed with the procurement department to enable the contract program to be carried out
Take the lead in ensuring effective management performance, training, and budget, to ensure that the projects is cash-positive, well-coordinated, and runs in accord with the agreed contract program
Manage a direct labor workforce
Manage multi-national sub-contractors
Work with and manage a multi-national management team
Assist in the planning and management of the site logistics requirements

Organisation Development
Define an optimum organization structure for the IT department so that resources are optimally utilised and communication can take place in an efficient manner
