Job Title – PROJECT DIRECTOR Jobs in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned program, project, or subtask.
  • Acts as the Company representative with the client and selected suppliers during the program execution.  Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client.  Assists business development in understanding client issues and business plans in order to market and secure new/additional work.
  • Promotes technical excellence on the project, including furtherance of the Quality Improvement Process.
  • Mobilizes Company resources, through effective liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.
  • Assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths.  Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.
  • Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule.
  • May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.
  • Oversees establishment of Work Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan and other documents for hazardous waste work.
  • Completes other responsibilities associated with the position as may be appropriate.

 

Educational requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field)

 

Experience requirements:

  • At least 25 years of related work experience, including supervisory/managerial experience

 

Desired Skills:

  • Significant managerial experience of a large group of Engineers, Designers, and technical support personnel
  • Professional Engineer registration with active membership in a professional engineering society may be required
  • Proven ability for managing a large group of engineering/technical personnel
  • Prior experience must include significant project management or construction management assignments at the Project Director level.
  • Experience should also include operations management of personnel and facilities.
  • Directing work involving complex technical situations
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and t he capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for use in completing engineering assignments.

  • Learns quickly.
