Construction Manager – Job Description
- Planning, monitoring day-to-day construction activities and supervising the site construction staff at site.
- Ensuring the construction machineries & equipment are in working condition at site.
- Planning and controlling of materials movement.
- Supervision and directing construction activities according to the technical and commercial criteria.
- Ensuring the effective implementation of Quality Assurance System procedures with regard to the execution of the project in his engineering discipline.
- Ensuring that the Quality of materials and installation of work is in accordance with the acceptance criteria identified for the Project and the company quality system.
- Ensuring that the work is completed in a safe manner and that all necessary Safety Regulations and Statutory Requirements are followed.
- Issuing instructions to the Site Engineers / Project Engineers and Foreman to complete the work in accordance with Project Planning and Schedules.
- Supervision of any subcontract work to ensure Quality and Completion of work in accordance with Project Specification.
- Review of Planning and Scheduling for the forthcoming weeks and advise the Project Manager of any discrepancies to allow for changes in workload.
- Completing all necessary documentation to be included in weekly and monthly reports for the Project Manager’s review.
- Ensuring proper use of the material at the site and controlling waste.
Construction Manager – Job Requirement
- B.Sc. / B.E. Civil Engineering with minimum 12 -15 years of experience in a Construction / Contracting Company.
- Must have worked as a Construction Manager for a minimum of 05-07 years in a Construction / Contracting Company.
- Relevant experience in handling projects as a Construction Manager preferred.
