Job Title – Production Chemical Engineer Jobs in Oman
Responsibilities:
- Supervision and support for Effectively manage CCED’s chemical management and assurance systems ensuring that the process streams meet the defined KPI’s
- Preparation of testing protocols for chemical qualification
- Selection and implementation of production chemicals
- Evaluation and optimization of chemical effectiveness
- Implementation corrosion mitigation strategies
- Contribution to chemical injection skid design and optimum injection Locations
- Support field-based laboratory teams
- Field visits following up on chemical applications, planning and completing field trials
- Evaluation and development of analytical tools with field team and chemical suppliers
- Defining scope of work for minor and major modifications to the installation
- Develop standards and procedures for chemical analysis and use
- Monitoring usage of chemicals and analyses against production & process data
- Undertakes research and development for new chemicals that will add value to the business
- Undertakes trouble shooting on chemical related production problems
- Manages all areas of environmental regulatory compliance concerning the use and discharge of chemicals
- Coordinates external analysis
- Develops and manages the chemical management and flow assurance budget, prepares forecasts.
- Manages chemical contracts and vendor activities
- Prepares reports as required for business performance reviews / board Papers
- Ensure that all appropriate HSE systems are followed and adhered to
Educational requirements:
- Degree in engineering (preferred Chemical Engineering and Chemistry)
- Ability to work both office and field • Hands on approach and can do attitude
- Experience with Asset Integrity software and tools
- Has aptitude to coach and mentor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience requirements:
- 7+ years production chemistry experience of which 4 + must be in the oil & gas sector
