Job – Production Engineer

Job Description / Requirements:

• Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
• Monitor production to resolve issues
• Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
• Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
• Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
• Ensure output meets quality standards
• Enforce health and safety precautions
• Report to upper management
• Prepare SOPs for all key production activities
• Ensure the status of all production activity is updated in the ERP system
• Maintain an updated report on current status of production & raw materials and end products produced from production activities
• Identifying and establishing new business in coordination with Technical Manager
• Developing new products in coordination with Technical manager
• Preparing formulation guides for engine oils, grease, metalworking and other technical products
• Providing pre-sales and post-sales support
• Writing reports and sales literature
• Providing product education and advice
• Attending trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings

Desired Candidate Profile

• Degree in a Chemistry discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the additive/lubricant industry.
• 3 years’ Production experience.
• Knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices, and methods.
• Knowledge of scientific laboratory research techniques.
• Computer literacy and strong mathematical, analytical, and research skills
• Understand different base oil classifications and their basic parameters.
• Must be able to formulate monograde & multigrade formulations.
• In-depth knowledge of the necessary instruments/equipment to be used in the laboratory.
• Excellent organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Knowledge of additive components, SAE, VG, API, ILSAC, JASO specifications and different additives, such as PCMO, HDDEO, Gear oil additives, ATF, Hydraulic etc. is an advantage
