Job Title – Project Manager Design & Build Jobs in Ghent, Belgium

Responsibilities:

You place the members of your team in the organizational chart, based on their experiences and qualities;
You closely monitor the activities of the design office led by the design manager; You provide adjustments within your team where necessary, and you are a motivator for your team;

You coordinate the activities on the project between the various specialists and departments;
You fulfill the contractual options, both technically, financially and time-related;
You are responsible for Contractual and insurance technical matters, in consultation with the BESIX Legal department;

You approve all contracts and commitments of the project;
You decide on the suppliers and subcontractors, after the preparatory work done by your team (including the pre-contractual quality and performance audits);
You coordinate all third parties, you negotiate with contractors, suppliers and subcontractors through all phases in the development of the project, and you participate in and handle tenders and contracts;

You will implement project budgets and resources, strengthen project standards, provide technical reviews, and provide monthly progress reporting.

Educational requirements:

You have a Master degree in industrial/civil engineering

Experience requirements:

You have a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in Buildings/Civil works;
Experience with completed Design & Build projects is a plus

Desired Skills:

You have advanced knowledge of contract management
Previous Design & Build experience is a plus
You are fluent in Dutch, with a good knowledge of English;

Qualifications:

Ability to work in a team environment with members of varying skill levels.
Highly motivated.
