Job Title – Specialist, PDH Operation Jobs in Jubail, Saudi Arabia

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Operations Shift Supervisor in resolving operating and Quality problems and optimizing/ monitoring conditions for the assurance of unit reliability and uninterrupted supply of the product through data acquisition, analyses and application of practical experience and technical know-how.
  • Monitor all aspects of Operations to ensure all operational parameters are met for the smooth and efficient operations and total reliability of the plant.
  • Provide Shift Supervisors with support in the review of all current procedures for meeting operational objectives and making changes in procedures for the safe and efficient running of the plant.
  • Verify all applications to permit System specifying conditions for compliance thereof.
  • Verify applications for approval temporary interlock bypasses when required for maintenance purposes.
  • Promote safety and environmental awareness amongst team members to support the compliance with safety guidelines and regulations and environmental norms and conditions.
  • Co-ordinate safety tours and follow up safety issues and problems to ensure effective and timely resolution
  • Verify all operation safety related documents such as firefighting equipment checklists, log-out, tag-out checklists, Blind plate lists, etc.
  • Trouble Shoot complex problems and issues related to operations, maintenance, safety, quality and productivity in order to provide Operations with cost effective solutions to support smooth and economical plant operations.
  • Provide maintenance coordinator with support in the co-ordination of preventive and turnaround maintenance jobs in order to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the plant.
  • Participate with Engineering and Technical Services Departments in PHA (process hazard analysis) activities.
  • Utilize the Reliability tool to improve the plan reliability and ensure sustain operation
  • Coordinate with engineering department Regarding his area MOCs (Management of Change).
  • Utilize applications of the Integrated Management System to monitor and timely investigate and address quality issues arising from non-conformance reports.
  • Monitor that employee are carrying out operations to the highest quality standards to comply with the Company’s loss control policies, procedures and regulations in general and the department SOP’s and work instructions.
  • Lead all troubleshooting activities related to plant production quality issues to ensure smooth operations that meet targeted specifications.
  • Assist in maintaining the custodian role of ensuring the update of Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions Master Copy, in the review, amendment and issue of revised processes to ensure continual improvement.
  • Assist in coordinating all activities related to major Plant overhaul, emergency plant shutdown, start up and catalyst change etc. in specific areas of the plant in line with standard operating procedures.
  • Co-ordinate the effective implementation of loss control policies and procedures with Operations teams, supporting departments and vendors in order to control, minimize and monitor losses and waste generation.
  • Prepare and maintain TAM/Emergency Shutdown Report in order to investigate and analyze any unusual incidents or occurrences and keep management updated about any relevant operational issues that affect production.
  • Verify that all records are maintained for quality related activities in order to facilitate retrieval for effective operation of the quality system.
  • Test and qualify operators to meet the qualification standards and refresher guidelines
  • on the job training for new team members to enhance their knowledge and skills to the required operational standards.
  • Support the Operations teams in critical and emergency situations to mitigate the risks in emergency and other critical circumstances.
  • Ensure compliance with IMRS and Responsible care.
  • Prepare TAM packages/ Schedule and coordinate with Maintenance and engineering for smooth TAM Implementation.
  •  Ensure strict compliance with all approved Responsible Care and IMRS policy and procedure to align with the TASNEE commitment to sustainable business.

 

Educational requirements:

  • Diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, and Instrument field or equivalent.

 

Experience requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of operational experience in the petrochemical or chemical industry, preferably with exposure in similar plants.
