About Enerflex

Job Title – Trade Compliance Specialist Jobs in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Responsibilities:

Classify items with Export Control Classification Number (ECCN), country of origin, and Harmonized Tariff
Schedule (HTS) number, including determining whether products are subject to U.S. export licensing requirements
Analyze trade laws and regulations of countries where the company operates to ensure company procedures facilitate compliance

Act as the regional compliance support for Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption and Sanctions screening in accordance with Enerflex’s software screening tool (GAN) ( training will be provided)
Maintain and revise import broker audit criteria and complete monthly monitoring/auditing of import brokers for compliance
Prepare and submit export license applications and classification requests as required

Monitor import/export documentation, and assure compliance relating to FTAs, licensing, and current tariffs
Conduct compliance self-assessment reviews at the direction of the manager
Report any suspected violations of trade regulations by any company employee or service providers promptly

Update and maintain Trade Control SharePoint site and systems to reflect current HTS/ECCN
Comply with all Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE, and all the Company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions and guidelines
Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Manager

Educational requirements:

Exposure to Customs Reporting Functions, audits and drawback programs
Experience with Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption and Sanctions screening is an asset

Strong ECCN and HTS classification skills are required
Strong knowledge in import/export regulations in different jurisdictions where the company operates
Strong Excel suite skills are required, and access database and SAP skills are an asset

Solid knowledge of the EAR, U.S. Customs Regulations, and FTR
Solid knowledge and experience with FTA requirements and monitoring
Ability to establish professional relationships with internal customers, third-party contacts, and Government authorities

Demonstrate excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Arabic is a pluslll
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle varied and busy workloads

Experience requirements:

Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or International Trade
Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role; experience in the Oil & Gas industry is an asset
