Job Title – Accounting Student (Temporary Assignment May – December 2023) Jobs in Calgary, Canada

Responsibilities:

Prepare and book monthly entries into SAP.
Support the Corporate Accountant in GL account analysis and reconciliations.
Prepare monthly variance analysis of Corporate cost centers – working closely with cost center heads.

Assist with quarterly reporting, including Board and Audit Committee presentations, and audit requirements.
Assist with quarterly forecast and annual budget – working closely with regional finance team.
Ad hoc projects and assistance to the Corporate Reporting team, where needed.

Educational requirements:

Strong knowledge in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; experience in SAP considered an asset.

Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong analytic and organizational skills.
Attention to detail is critical; and

Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Experience requirements:

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Accounting program, with successful completion of at least 2 years of the program.

Good knowledge of building methods and regulations.
