Job Title -Director – Asset Management & System Technology Jobs in NEOM City, Saudi Arabia

Responsibilities :

- - - System Technology
      - Own and drive the process of defining basic system technology decisions before handing over to engineering in order to achieve the best possible balance of asset efficiency, invisible infrastructure and cost for ENOWA’s grid of the future.
      - Define and follow up with internal and external experts studies, international co-operations and the global publications on fundamental grid optimization decisions.
      - Assure the timely justification and definition of basic system technologies to be used in ENOWA’s current definition of its target grid.
      - Support the ongoing high level functional design programme of ENOWA to design the full Energy System in one step in parallel
      Asset Management, Network Studies and Modelling
      - Own and drive the process of planning asset build-ups in detail, following the general investment decision by the System Planning Department (Name conventions, GIS documentation, …)
      - Drive digitalization of our asset management processes (BIM, Asset health Management,) and in particularly the definition and a setup of digital tools to prepare temporary overloading of assets.
      - Manage the teams established for network studies and modelling
      - Assure that the buildup of own modelling skills and capacities is done in the most efficient way considering internal and external partnering
      - Support the ongoing high level functional design programme of ENOWA to design the full Energy System in one step in parallel
      Digital
      - Own and drive the design decisions needed for the digitalization of grid components and controls
      - Prepare system balancing instruments and technologies
      - Manage the team defining the control principles of the future
      - Contribute to the question if and by how far DSO/ TSO operations need to be integrated
      - Support the ongoing high level functional design programme of ENOWA to design the full Energy System in one step in parallel
      Interfaces
      - Different ENOWA and NEOM departments

      - External organizations such as SEC, KSA Government Agencies, Energy solution providers

Educational requirements:

MSc or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering or comparable disciplines

Experience requirements:

A minimum of 15 years total experience in a technical leadership role, minimum of 10 years of those in the T&D space, ideally on the operator side
Experience, at a strategic and functional level, in T&D system design decisions, ideally related to RES integration and ideally with a well established Grid Operator in the T&D space
Experience with protection of HVAC, MVAC, and LVAC systems

Experience with HVAC and HVDC transmission systems
Experience with Asset Strategy definitions and Asset Health Management Systems

Desired Skills:

English language skills as a must

Arabic language skills advantageous

Qualifications:

Long-term leadership roles in relevant national and/ or international standardization councils like CIGRE, IEEE, or similar

Intercultural sensitivity, ideally with experience related to the Arabic peninsula
