Responsibilities:

“Own” the asset and manage the development from completion of master planning through to project completion. This will require continual interaction with multiple stakeholders, consultants, and OEM’s.

To have an in-depth knowledge of aquaculture equipment and functionality as well as being able to compare systems and explain pros and cons.
To prepare proper plan of maintenance & replacement to keep farm systems and equipment in optimal condition of operation.
Investigate and optimize the use of alternative and/or novel systems/equipment’s or a novel method to allow improved process efficiency

Optimize sustainability and reduce carbon-footprint of the Assets
Contribute to pre-concept and Concept designs then “challenge” the selected Contractors designs to ensure robust, efficient operation
Manage a range of external third-party suppliers to ensure compliance with high operational standards of design and construction.

Develop project plans and timelines and ensure that projects are completed within budget and on time.
Actively participate in the strategic development of the Section
Assist in mobilizing resources in support of new research activities.

Develop productive partnerships to further Assets/OEM

Educational requirements:

University or college degree in a relevant field and/or associated industry experience.

Experience requirements:

Knowledge and experience of working in developing countries in Africa and/or Asia
Passion for NEOM’s mission to deploy the latest technologies to achieve Food Security.

Desired Skills:

Excellent communication skills

Fluent in English (fluency or working knowledge in Arabic is a plus)
Knowledge and experience of working in developing countries in Africa and/or Asia

Qualifications:

Operating vessels, caps, cranes, sea winches
Operating JCB’s Manitou, forklifts or similar

Diving qualification
Technical background in Aquaculture or a related field
Experience in Project Management

Network within industry or research
Advanced understanding of the science of aquaculture production systems and feeds.
Project management, including developing project strategy and simultaneously managing multiple projects.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to recognize and address difficulties that develop throughout the project lifecycle.
Candidates who can demonstrate a working knowledge & good understanding of the RIBA Stage Gates processes & procedures would be further desired.
