Job Title – LEGAL RESEARCHER Jobs in Dubai, UAE

Responsibilities:

Operations

Studying customs cases/various case files and from various departments to make recommendations in accordance with customs laws and practices
Submitting recommendations to impose fines and appropriate procedures in a timely manner for various customs cases/cases to ensure collection of fines
Preparing legal manuals, correspondences, circulars and documents related to fees and fines In addition to other matters related to customs to create awareness / communicate related changes

Contribute to the development or strengthening of the customs case management system for the Department of Customs Case Management to improve the department’s effectiveness in handling cases
Preparing draft decisions, bulletins and instructions related to customs issues to respond to inquiries from third parties
Follow up, update and receive technical feedback on issues related to legal issues to ensure their solutions

Preparing forms for reports, cases, fine decisions and contracts, in addition to updating them periodically when needed by contacting other departments
Summarizing reports and information related to violators, smugglers and the like; To provide the concerned parties with this information to ensure the restriction of such activities
Facilitate the reconciliation process between Dubai Customs and the offending parties regarding smuggling and related issues with the approval of the Director General / his delegate

Facilitate the development of cases in the courts/prosecution by providing information/support with the written approval of the Director General
Registering customs cases for follow-up, and providing feedback to customs centers to reduce the escalation of cases
Preparing awareness brochures/pamphlets on customs violations, smuggling crimes and penalties

Implementing and developing the legal department’s strategy through implementing the department’s action plans in accordance with Dubai Customs’ vision
Preparing relevant documents to obtain the approval of the Director General on decisions related to the confiscation of goods or other materials
Follow up on customs issues and methods of performance between the Legal Centers Department and other customs departments in order to ensure that legal practices are followed correctly in dealing with these issues

Preparing an electronic archive of information on cases so that there is a future reference and obtaining statistical information from cases
Representing Dubai Customs before external authorities such as governmental, legal, banks and all relevant bodies in cases initiated by or against Dubai Customs or for any legal action related to Dubai Customs
Signing on behalf of Dubai Customs before the notary public in the Emirate of Dubai contracts, agreements, and certificates that include acceptance of transfer by other parties of any transferred or untransferred amounts in favor of the organization

Filing complaints at the police station against holders of forged checks and forgery cases
Performing any duties entrusted to him by the direct manager in a proper and timely manner, with reliability, integrity, and keenness to complete the tasks entrusted to the fulles

Educational requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Law

Experience requirements:

A minimum of one to two years of experience at a legal executive level Experience in customs is considered positive
