Job Title – Section Head (Prevention and Social Liaison) Jobs in Dubai, UAE

Responsibilities:

  • Job Description
  • Developing a vision for policies and procedures that limit juvenile delinquency in the community and submitting them to the Director of the Department for approval and implementation.
  • Supervise the preparation of preventive and training programs for children at risk of delinquency in accordance with the strategic plans and approved standards, and work on developing them to ensure non-delinquency .
  • Achieving the indicator of reducing the rate of juvenile crime in society by studying the causes of child delinquency and developing programs that limit it.
  • Monitoring children’s problems that lead to delinquency by studying the reports received by the department and studies of events prepared by specialists to prepare related programs and plans.
  • Introducing and developing programs to prevent delinquency and empower children by following up on the results and outputs of preventive programs and working to attract partners from various parties for implementation.
  • Follow-up the implementation of preventive programs with specialists concerned with children at risk of delinquency by reviewing preventive intervention plans to ensure the achievement of the desired results and developing improvement plans.
  • Follow-up cases of children exposed to delinquency and the extent of development of cases with specialists, review case studies and hold periodic meetings in order to identify the development and improvement of children.
  • Preparing an annual analytical study on the causes of child delinquency and its relationship to several variables (age, gender, family conditions, place of residence, education, nationality, etc.) and making recommendations.
  • Reviewing and approving intervention plans developed by juvenile and prevention specialists, and amending them if necessary to ensure that children do not recur and supervising their implementation.
  • Communicating and coordinating with the strategic partners participating in prevention programs and ensuring the benefit and development of services with the aim of containing children and reducing the rate of delinquency throughout the year.
  • Adhere to the information security policies and procedures approved by the Authority and work to comply with the controls to ensure the confidentiality of information.
  • Any other duties and specializations within the scope of the job responsibilities.

Educational requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent.Priority for a master’s degree in social work or psychology.Proficiency in Arabic and English (spoken and written)

Experience requirements:

  • A minimum of At least 8 to 10 years of experience in community prevention or juvenile care, including 3 years of experience in a supervisory position
