Responsibilities :

• • • • Strategic and budgetary contribution:
        • Ensure Neom Media Sector vision is embedded and applied in all relevant disciplines according to the NEOM Work Plan Stage process
        • Assist with the implementation of the feasibility and targets and execute the strategic agenda of the Media Development function;
        • Ensure at all stages of development, design and construction that the approved budget is met and monitor financial performance versus the budget
        • Lead design related NEOM development and Media-specific strategies (e.g., sustainability/certifications, primary urbanizations utilities load calculations, accessibility/mobility, logistics, safety/security etc…)

        Project management, monitoring and reporting:

        • Maintain current knowledge and keep abreast of current developments and trends particularly with regards to competitors’ products which may involve visiting competing projects on a regular basis, monitoring various forms of media to assess competitors’ marketing strategies, and providing expert input in development of strategies to maintain competitiveness and improve market positioning in terms of design;
        • Design coordination with external stakeholders: architects, key consultants, specialist consultants to achieve design and development objectives;
        • Contribute to the establishment and review of development strategy and project scheduling for the project;
        • Ensure that development schedule meets planning timeframes, leasing, tenant requirements, funding commitments and the targeted deadlines assumed in the feasibility;
        • Assist in managing and coordinating all aspects of the design process including reviewing concept, developed and detailed design, prototypes and samples to ensure consistency and check for end user functionality in compliance with best practice industry standards with project management and proponents;
        • Along with the Development Director and Team, manage a process of consultation with key stakeholders and Neom community including explaining proposals, collecting suggestions and feedback, and managing expectations;
        • Prepare and present reports for Project Control Groups, Project Team meetings, Management Committee meetings, Project Committee’s meetings, and other;
        • Manage costs (as per ETSD directives) and timelines to ensure that project is on schedule and within budget;
        • Forge effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure progress of works and the coordination and enhancement of relationships;
        • Assist in overseeing the requirements of project delivery and finalization and is required to convert the project from building(s) to a functioning, occupied development. This will require the coordination of commercial, legal, marketing, and project management skills in a Development (Senior) Manager capacity as well as ensuring successful delivery in compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards;
        • Determine the extent of the construction detailing required for various elements of a project and ensure constructability, code compliance, affordability and aesthetics. Develop these details and support/supervise the team members as they assist in developing needed details by assessing technical adequacy and completeness;

Educational requirements:

Experience requirements:

• 12-15 years experience with Design Consultants, Property Developers, Real Estate Consultancies, or Construction firms;
• Possess a high-level knowledge of CAD-based systems (Autodesk Architecture 2019 preferred), Revit, and Microsoft Windows-based systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.); 3-D modeling experience preferred, but not required;

• Problem-solving, planning, organizing, and analytical skills with the ability to guide and coach others in the resolution of complex problems;

Qualifications:

• Proficient understanding of Construction Drawing/Detailing of various commercial and institutional building systems of significant size. Media-related (Film & TV production) architectural design experience preferred;
• Proficient understanding of MEP, Structural and Site/Civil Engineering trades, while understanding the impact that these trades have on the architectural design concept;
• Ability to manage multiple projects at various stages of development;
• Strong commercial acumen
