Role Purpose:

1. Managing the Business Banking Control Unit team to ensure compliance and operational Risks are identified and to ensure that proper, sufficient controls are in place across Retail activities and operations to minimize any operational risk and avoid any fines or other losses.
2. Monitor the controls within Business Banking and identifying any compliance gaps.

Key Accountabilities of the role     

1. Creating a Control Environment:
   1. Escalate to business and management critical operational problems, complaints and control gaps identified.
   2. Work as a central contact point between the BBD Control team and Business Banking Department
   3. Manage and resolve any issues between the team and other departments.
   4. Create Procedures for the Business Banking Control Unit.

2. Manage Control Reviews Monitoring  
   1. Liaise the Control Review Plan to Business Banking department and Control Team. And ensure that all phases of the review process, including Opening letter, planning document, field work (related tests) are documented, issued and executed on time in order to avoid any delays in the review plan.
   2. Prepare and develop the Control Review methodology for the team.
   3. Manage the team and assist in ensuring compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
   4.  Report findings to the Head of Retail Control & Government Department.
   5. Discuss with Business Units the findings and gaps. And provide process improvement suggestions and recommendations to improve process controls to Management.
   6. List all findings and gaps in an official report sent to business. And implement an overall quality checking for the issued reports and ensure their consistency.
   7. Enhance Record Keeping of reviews.
   8. Provide support to the team members to meet the department objectives.

3. Managing the implementing of ARR Recommendations.
   1. Attend the discussion of Audit meetings for BBD.
   2. Monitoring and ensuring the effective and timely implementation of all CAP’s. as per  GIA recommendations Evaluating samples/supporting documents provided to CAP closure to ensure accuracy of compliance to recommendations.
   3. Maintain a tracker on actions taken for closure & Report on regular progress.

4. Support the operating of Risk & Control Self-Assessment process.
   1. Ensure all RCSA documents of Business Banking units are up to date.
   2. Highlight any suspected control lapses and suitable improvements
   3. Ensure that Control testing is performed effectively
5. Support initiatives to improve Procedures.
   1. Assist the team in managing the Policy and Procedures for BBD.
   2. Support the Procedure development and review process
   3. Manage the following up on P&P log to ensure that all documents are valid and up to date.
6. Support in BCP Coordination.
   1. Manage BBD l Control Unit team responsible for the BCP planning and system implementation within RBG COO Office.
   2. Managing BBD Control Unit team responsible for following with BBD
7. Special Assignment:
   1. Undertake any additional assignments / projects entrusted by the line management and complete them as per requirement.
