Job – Business Development Manager, Affluent Banking

Job Description :

Job Purpose:

Leading the banks strategy and distribution delivery of new to bank, mass affluent and HNW customers. Supporting the growth in banks market share for HNW segments.

Principal Accountabilities:

Work Management

Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction. Leading the banks plans for identifying and acquiring new, funded Elite and Private Bank customers. Supporting the bank to achieve its market share targets in both Elite and Private Segments.

Identifying and securing strategic alliances to increase the awareness and promotion of CBD’s affluent banking propositions and position CBD as a leading provider of banking services for the HNW & UHNW.

Ensuring the banks financial objectives are met through a holistic distribution plan that includes CPA and channel optimisation.

Working closely with stakeholders in order to run tactical acquisition campaigns, marketing campaigns and local events in order to drive awareness and NTB’s.

Ensure that all sales distribution teams are well trained on the products and adhere to all documentation requirements for smooth and error-free execution of new customer onboarding.

Establish a robust internal cross sell framework for inter business cross pollination.

Providing vital market insights and feedback to help inform the banks value propositions and products strategies.

Update Head of Wealth Distribution and Head of Wealth Management with regular activity MIS and call reports, sales reports, account management reports, Maintain pipeline of sales prospects.

Manage the inherent conflict in the job requirement – client needs versus achieving revenue targets

Explore cross-sell opportunities within the wider client base for different products and services of the bank.

Train, develop, motivate and lead the teams to deliver high quality performance on new customer acquisitions.

Connect through targeted corporates to attract their C-suite leadership to bank with CBD and where appropriate create bespoke packaged services with a strong supporting business case.

Frequent and targeted networking and business presentations through local business groups and forums and represent CBD with the highest standards of ethics and behaviours

Job Qualifications:

Education and Experience

Bachelor degree in Economics, Finance, Business Management or Science

CISI qualification or equivalent

At least 10 years’ experience in the insurance sales & product management
