Senior Product Manager – Business Assets-Abu Dhabi, AE
Job Description
Role Purpose:
- The Senior Product Manager – Business Assets is responsible for leading and commercializing business finance products within Business Banking segments i.e. small business finance, fleet finance, and additionally working capital finance and CAPEX finance or any other financing product that comes under BBD Assets business (including product ownership for Tier 0 financing solutions and commercialization of Tier 1 financing solutions).
- This includes product plan, design, and end-to-end ownership of all aspects of the product performance. The product plan and design will include activating new products / variants and digital transformation projects.
- This will include planning for business assets growth through assessment of potential risks involved in the BBD segment, pricing strategy, and profitability targets.
- The business assets value-proposition encompasses the solutions developed by the GTB Central Trade Products Team. This individual interfaces extensively with all levels and functions and channels to facilitate the mission of RMs and Sales to upsell and cross-sell these solutions.
- The job holder will be responsible for writing and keeping all products/procedures manuals updated. This will require complete integrity of the process with proactive identification and closure of process gaps. The role is the focal point to lead and support the development and maintenance of assets products offered to SME customers in harmony with credit risk strategies.
Key Metrics:
- Revenue: BBD revenues generated from trade and business finance products
- Commercialization: Define business opportunities and provide sales support deliverables
- Product knowledge: product knowledge across the frontline team
Key Accountabilities of the role:
Strategy:
- To develop and effectively communicate the business assets growth strategies. This requires translation of business strategy into business plans, strategic initiatives, and marketing campaigns
- Ensure strategies adhere to policy and risk appetite requirements to help business in achieving sustainable, controlled and robust growth
Product Management & Commercialization:
- Develop and enhance business finance products capability in Business Banking
- Optimize processes in coordination with relevant stakeholders
- Provide business insights and recommendations to increase sales productivity and efficiency levels
- Optimize portfolio management through analytical diagnostics and deep dive recommendations, forecast analysis, and learn agenda
- Promotion of business finance products in coordination with Marketing team to create internal and external marketing materials
- Liaise with concerned departments to sign-off official documents of assigned products and services
- Identify any revenue leakages and escalate for immediate rectification.
- To establish and implement competitive pricing policies and tariff structure to maximize product profitability
- Monitor against budgeted revenue forecasts, highlight underperforming products / territories and develop remedial actions
- Developing, reviewing and keeping up to date with marketing, collateral and transaction documentation. Liaising with Shari’a, Legal, Marketing, and other key stakeholders.
- Increase ADIB share of the wallet in UAE in terms of business assets
Sales Support:
- Helping the Head of Small Business Finance to achieve the sales objectives and performance tracking
- Working hand-in-hand with Business Banking Relationship Management team to implement complex deals
- Based on sales / customer’s voice, provide inputs into pricing and products features
Market Research and Competitive Scans
- Analyze markets and products to identify business opportunities and generate new business ideas within the business finance domain in SME banking
- Keeping track of market developments and competitor business
- Coordinate with marketing and local business areas for the commercial launch of new products, or re-launch of existing products
Training and Sales Support:
- Create training materials of business finance to equip front liners with required knowledge
- Address any sales enquiries/complaints generated from front-liners
- Prepare customer presentations as and when required

Required Previous Experience:
- 5 – 10 years of experience in SME Banking in a capacity of product management on the assets business with a minimum of 5 years of experience in SME Banking in the UAE
- Comprehensive technical Knowledge in business finance solutions & risks
- Proven track in managing product programs, project management, processes management, business development, business analytics, process re-engineering, and digital solutions
- Understand the business finance dynamics and ability to transform processes
- Understand Business Banking segments in terms of customer’s persona and journey
- Be able to recognize and make recommendations based on existing or expected market trends
- Good knowledge in trade finance solutions is preferred
