Job Title – Safety Training Coordinator Jobs in Khobar , Saudi Arabia

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a strong presence at the worksite, especially in high-risk, high-activity areas (i.e., deck, drill floor). Approximately 75% of working day should be spent at the worksite. 
  • Promote ARO’s Golden Rules on the rig, ensuring each employee is aware of the 8 Golden rules and how to apply them. 
  • Promote ARO’s Perfect Day to embed the concept into the rig culture. 
  • Assist in the management of the Stop Observe Act Report (SOAR) program and encourage active participation by undertaking safety performance conversations by all persons on board. 
  • Ensure Stop Work Authority (SWA) obligation is understood by all persons on board and exercised promptly. This is integral to the Company safety culture. The STC is expected to lead by example. 
  • Assist the OIM by monitoring/verifying compliance with control of work systems such as JRA, RSOP, PTW, Isolation, Confined Space, Rescue Planning etc. 
  • Comply with, monitor, and effectively contribute to the continuous improvement of RMS, HSE related policies and procedures, and relevant authority regulatory requirements. Assist operations management by identifying HSE or noncompliance concerns. 
  • Assist with internal/external audit completion, close out and tracking. Report progress weekly to HSE department. 
  • Be a visible safety leader by demonstrating and reinforcing adherence to the Company’s mission and values and personal accountability for health, safety, and the environment. 
  • Ensure appropriate dissemination of HSE policies, procedures and guidance documentation. 
  • Consult with personnel including safety leaders and department heads on all matters concerning safety. 
  • Participate in crew safety meetings and supervisors’ meetings as requested; present topics/findings from the week at the Weekly Safety Meeting. 
  • Monitor the selection of suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) including performing checks on sizing and suitability. 
  • Maintain awareness of Substances Hazardous to Health and the requirements for the correct stowage, use, handling, and PPE. 
  • Carry out onboard training or assist with booking training to ensure full compliance with the training matrix. Assist third party trainers as necessary. 
  • Assist, monitor and verify compliance with the short service employee (SSE) process to ensure effective implementation and that on-the-job training is being provided to develop the SSEs.

 

Educational requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Minimum 2 years in STC role. 
  • Completion of all required ARO mandatory training requirements. 
  • Recommended by OIM/Rig Manager and/or HSE Manager. 
  • Previous experienced within the offshore industry in a HSE role/position is required. 
  • Valid offshore Medical, FOET, BOSIET. 
  • Formal investigation training certification preferred (i.e., Taproot®, Topset® or equivalent). 
  • Recognized HSE training qualification preferred (i.e., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA or equivalent).

  • 2 – 8 Years
