Maritime Legal Advisor – Job Description
- Draft and negotiate design and construction agreements including construction-related financing agreements and insurance provision.
- Maintain deep understanding of FIDIC suite of Contracts and bespoke contracts.
- Manage contract change control process and related correspondence requiring legal input.
- Provide end-to-end support in the management and satisfactory resolution of construction contract claims.
- Draft, review, negotiate and advise upon, all required legal and contractual documentation.
- Manage negotiations, mediations, arbitrations and settlement procedures as assigned.
- Provide legal, regulatory and compliance advice to various business units.
Maritime Legal Advisor – Job Requirement
- LLB & LLM degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 10 years of contracts negotiation and management experience in mega projects.
- An experienced commercial/contracts advisor with a strong background in construction-related matters, having extensively advised upon, negotiated, drafted and reviewed, construction related documentation.
- Should possess experience in real estate transactions and be conversant with relevant property laws and regulations in Saudi Arabia.
- Possess a strong background in all forms of construction contracts and ancillary agreements and have some experience in dispute resolution including adjudication, arbitration, litigation and ADR.
- Fluency in oral and written English is essential.
- Proven ability to work independently and to tight deadlines.
