Responsibilities :

• The role of the Packaging Development Specialist is to lead in the material selection, development, and implementation of the next generation of logistics storage/transit and packaging media that will be used to handle products between the network of highly automated logistics facilities and all levels of customers across NEOM.

   

   
• This program will enable SC&L to fulfill its’ mandate of offering a pioneering and fully sustainable warehousing and delivery network. To achieve this, you will, but not limited to:

   

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for all aspects of packaging media specifications and design

  • Engage with NEOM SC&L stakeholders to identify their specific conditions for design requirements

  • Liaise with NEOM Projects teams to develop the comprehensive design requirements and asset briefs, to enable the progression of the design and acquisition programs for the packaging assets

  • Engage with potential suppliers for the design, industrialization and delivery of all required logistics storage/transit and packaging assets

Educational requirements:

Experience requirements:

• 7+ years’ experience in detailed logistics, packaging design / asset management
• Experience with process creation, development, execution, control/monitoring, and improvement.
• Experience in product R&D and innovation

Desired Skills:

• Project management skills, using the latest techniques, governance, and reporting
• Fluent English language skills required
• Skills with materials investigation and selection, with a focus on sustainability
• Excellent customer and stakeholder relationship-building skills/team player

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of packaging design and the use of software (CAD, Inventor, Solidworks, etc.)

• Ability to work independently without supervision
